Ever since Heston Blumenthal brought Ferran Adria’s vision of molecular gastronomy to the UK with his endlessly award-winning Fat Duck, there has been no shortage of restaurants cropping up with ‘new visions’ for dining, most of which unfortunately spend too much time trying to be different and forget about the most important thing, making the food taste good!
Happily then this restaurant with a twist actually does the basic things well, and the twist? Well that’s in the name, Texture, a concept based around dishes created with interesting texture, it’s that simple, the food however isn’t. Complex dishes such as Lancashire suckling pig, slow cooked for 12 hours with squid and bonito sauce are presented like works of art, whilst the focus on great taste is never lost.
Looking for somewhere new and unique to dine in London? We suggest heading to Texture, 34 Portman Street, W1
