Over-the-top, distasteful, ridiculous even? Whatever criticism you might choose to level at this new collection from Louis Vuitton, it’s opulence is undeniably exciting. A collaboration from exactly the sort of person you would expect to wear this range, Mr Pharrell Williams and Vuitton’s in-house accessories designer Camille Miceli, the Blason range has been inspired by historic Europe, aristocracy and general all around extravagance.
More images and 3 of our favourite pieces from the collection after the jump……
With items ranging in price from around £1,000 to £300,000 this rather opulent belt buckle is in comparison a reasonably priced item at only £27,800, with 523 rare stones such as sapphires and rubies (along with of course the obligatory diamonds) making up the Louis Vuitton coat of arms this is a bit of waistline bling that certainly puts our Dsquared2 buckle in the shade!
Moving on up the level of bling, and one of the items on the collection mini-site which doesn’t even bother showing us the price, this ridiculously exuberant ring places a yellow gold Raphaelite cherub on ones finger, clutching a single (and extremely expensive we’re sure) white diamond. Word!
Topping the Richter scale of obscenely hip-hop style blingingness is this ultra weighty ring which is fronted up with a Vuitton coat of arms that flips to reveal a dazzling panel of 94 white diamonds, if we were the proverbial rap superstar then this would indeed be at the top of our fashion accessory shopping list.
Also worth checking out; the cheesy promo-vid featuring Pharrell inspecting his range of goods, if you thought the collection itself is over-the-top wait till you see this, hit the ‘inspiration’ link on the Blason collection mini-site.
