Liverpool has been quietly undergoing a kind of designer renaissance of late, from it’s influx of fabulous new hotels (62 Castle Street, Hope Street, Hard Days Night) to great new nightspots such as Alma De Cuba, (although in fairness, great nightlife is something Liverpool has never lacked) and the designer-only shopping centre, the MetQuarter. Culture is obviously in no doubt thanks to the 2008 City of Culture title, and now it’s time for a major design show hosted at the Contemporary Urban Centre from the 19th to 22nd June.
Fashion, homewears, furniture and much more is encompassed into the 4 day event which is running during the height of the Liverpool 08 City of Culture festivities.
Along with exhibitions and shopping opportunities, there is promise of catwalk shows, design awards, product demonstrations, design installations, live glass demonstrations, VIP shopping nights and trade-only events.
