Australian eyewear chaps, Colab, are bucking the fashion designer trend for shades and giving us a range of unique products designed by leading mixed-media artists such as We Heart Stuff favourite, Eboy. With ‘no rules to follow’ and ‘no target market to appease’, Colab are hoping to push the boundries of fashion design as they take on mass-produced collections from global clothing brands. Each range is strictly limited to 1,000 units and each season the company will work with a new set of ‘guest proffesors’ in their ‘Colabratory’.

Accompanying each pair of shades is unique packaging designed by the guest artists. A2 posters, glasses covers and even a microfibre lens cleaning cloth are individually designed and included, along with a clear acrylic test tube with artists biography, in each limited edition cardboard tube package.
