Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by meticulously gluing colored paper cutouts onto it and Amelia Coward aka Bombus is an expert, as she so wonderfully showcases on her Etsy store. Vintage comics and atlases, London streetmaps and even classic French glamour magazines are all chopped up and applied to a selection of goods that range from chairs, to bowls and plates, mirrors and notebooks. Greetings cards, handmade envelopes and other such artifacts are also for sale, ideal for those preparing for Christmas shopping early (did we just say that?).

Having trained for four years at Central St Martins as a textile designer before moving onto the Royal College of art to study a Masters Degree in woven textiles, Amelia’s talents don’t just end at decoupage as her ‘Bombus’ design studio shows. Vintage furniture, homeware and accessories are in the pipeline along with interior design services, which given her taste in vintage techniques and materials should prove to be wonderfully eclectic. We’re sure this is a name you will be hearing more about.
