If your lucky enough to be in and around SoHo NYC at the weekend then may we suggest popping down to Agent Provocateur’s New York outpost where the always outrageous team are hosting an exclusive in-store cocktail event on Saturday, 2pm till 7pm, to mark the release of Dirty Stop Out’s new album, ‘CUNTRO CLASSICS, Volume 1′. Devised by Joe Corre, founder of the lingerie label and son of Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, Dirty Stop Out is a musical concept featuring Mick Jones of The Clash and backed “by a colourful band of vagabonds on a mission to revive the forgotten world of sexy, sweaty entertainment through an ever changing musical experience and interesting collaborations”, their words not ours. So, pretentious yes, but surely that’s what we’ve come to expect and it’s usually a lot of fun, judging by the albums UK launch last week. The SoHo launch probably won’t be as glitzy an affair, but we’re desperate to see the live window display as we know that AP always put on a good show, so if your in town and armed with a camera do drop us a line, alternatively you should check out their brilliant online magazine, and if you must, buy the album.
