We Heart Stuff loves to see things out of the ordinary, it shows a creative, inquisitive mind and thinking outside the box (we also don’t heart that phrase). The guys at Cambridge creative agency The District found they had a spare room in their lovely offices they weren’t making the most of, so turned it into a creative space. The Front Room (literally what it says on the tin) launched last Friday with an illustrative installation, “Oh Eck”, by graphic Chris Gray whose bold paintings across all planes of the room commented on the extremes of flooding, a common problem in the fenlands.

With bi-monthly exhibitions planned, the Front Room is an interactive space for Cambridge creatives, with the team at The District open to suggestions collaborations and uses for the space. Crossing the boundaries between street art, design, installation and performance this is an exciting concept to watch. It makes out own front rooms seem rather bland. What can you do with yours?
