Having begun tagging at the age of 13, the Dutch artist known as Shoe, aka Niels Meulman is the inventor and leading player in the phenomenon known as ‘Calligraffiti‘, which does what it says on the tin, a fusion of calligraphy and graffiti. Intended for hanging inside rather than traditional graffiti, Niels’ calligraffiti works are being showcased at an upcoming exhibition in Rush Hour, an independent record store in the Dutch capital.
