Just as Anubis the Egyptian God of the Dead did in 2007 to mark the opening of the O2′s Tutankhamen exhibition, this one tonne, 16ft Pharaoh comprising of over 200,000 individual pieces of Lego, floated down the Thames yesterday on the final leg of it’s 1,395 mile journey from the Czech Republic to Windsor’s LEGOLAND theme park. This creative publicity stunt marks the opening of a new attraction at the theme park, Kingdom of the Pharaohs, which opens on the 21st March with the now infamous 16ft Pharaoh as it’s centrepiece.
