Gothenburg’s always been the coolest Swedish city. Stockholm’s pretty, Malmo’s dull, Uppsala’s academic. Yeah, for kicks, head west. And, should you be of a creative bent (and you’re reading this, so it’s a shoe-in) you might be able to save all your pennies for the city’s excellent bars. Cool Swedish clothing co, Elvine (think Howies, but without the sand) has opened Creator’s Inn. And if you thought Travelodge was cheap, this takes some beating.
The premise? If you’re cool, you stay for free. Honestly, we’ve checked the small print. You need to register online, and tell ‘em why they should put you up in this funky design hotel without parting with a single Krona, but for someone as creative as you, that should prove ‘inte problemmar’. Ja? They call it ‘creative social responsibility’ so, a little tip, don’t write ‘I want to come and party all night with gorgeous Swedes’. It won’t work, trust us.
