Looks like reconstructed antique furniture is set to be a big upcoming trend. Only last month we showcased Rabih Hage’s new ‘Roughed Up‘ collection which will be showing at this years London Design Festival, this time it’s the wonderful work of Lee Broom who will have his work featured at ‘The Revivalists‘, a show curated by Max Fraser that celebrates designers who ’signify a refreshing reminder that traces of our cultural evolution shouldn’t, and needn’t, be wiped out by society’s overwriting quest for the new.’ Part of his ‘Rough Diamond’ collection, his Luminaire Bergère chair [above], a one-of-a-kind unfinished Parisian relic that displays the juxtaposition of old and new and his Club Chair [below], a traditional Chesterfield spectacularly transformed with fairground jewel light bulbs are a perfect example of this charming trend of respecting the identity of aged pieces through the introduction of a contemporary twist.
