Annoyingly young and clearly rather talented, recent graduate Robin Grasby looks set for big things following his first class honours in 3D Design: Furniture and Product from Northumbria Uni earlier this year. Following a lengthy research process where Grasby photographed workspaces and interviewed a number of designers, architects, illustrators, teachers and students, he decided that no two users ever have the same functional requirements…. the solution then was to develop a simple yet strikingly effective modular system that can easily be self assembled. The slot along the back of the multi-material work surface allows a high level of personalisation through a range of accessories that includes stationery pots, picture slots, a vase, filing buckets and a cable manager. For more information get in touch with Robin through his website, or if you’ll be attending Cologne’s ‘[D³] Design Talents‘ exhibition in January then be sure to show your support as Homework is a shortlisted project.
