With a string of awards and achievements as long as a piece of string, Architect, Designer, Curator and owner of his own “Gallery and Design Studio” and hotel ‘Rough Luxe‘, Rabih Hage is one of Europe’s most distinguished forces in upcoming trends and design… we asked him for some picks for 2010, and were decidedly surprised by his first….
“Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey. Fun and naff at the same time. There are some car based attractions. Plus a giant pre-owned Mercedes cars dealership. One can do better architecturally, but not bad for pretend racing drivers. This national Mercedes-Benz headquarters with a car museum all built on the oldest racing track in the UK. Good concept and you can have fun with testing the black ice simulator, etc… Why this type of pick? Because the future is local and not over the top “internationally” standardised location.”
Seemingly in agreement with Black Tomato about one of 2010′s hottest travel destinations, Rabih says, “Beirut; the place Dubai always wanting to be, but with true creative energy, a banking system that works and occupied flats.
