Whether New York designer Forrest Jessee’s ‘Sleep Suit‘ is an audacious undertaking to truly deliver a revolution in our sleep patterns, or it’s simply a tongue in cheek art project – infinitely more likely – one thing’s for sure is that it’s bound to raise a few eyebrows. Inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s 1943 TIME article on ‘Dymaxion Sleeping’, his experimental regime of 30 minute naps every 6 hours – a practice he reportedly followed for 2 years – Jessee’s ‘Sleep Suit’ allows the wearer to bed down for short, impromptu kips wherever they may be… although the fact that the suit, made from giant strips of EVA foam, is pretty far from discreet, it’s not exactly practical should you be wanting to sneak in a quick nap at your desk after a heavy weekend.
