A ‘two storey extension and partial conversion of an existing two-storey 1960s constructed building at Longford Community School’, Jonathan Clark‘s wonderfully colourful structure straddles the end of the teaching block, delivering an all too uncommon approach to school design – life, vibrancy and energy. Internally it’s far removed from the norm too, sophisticated user of lighting, more youthful colour, and a unique approach to seating that offers a relaxed feel to the library. Maybe if all schools looked like this, truancy could be a thing of the past….
