Famous for it’s radical graphic design and the ‘Swiss Style’ – or International Style – Switzerland, for all it lacks in size, has long been at the forefront of contemporary design, from print right through to architecture, just look at the international influence of Basel-based architects, Herzog & de Meuron or the undeniable legacy of Le Corbusier. A forthcoming exhibition at London’s ‘A Foundation‘ hopes to show that none of the Swiss gusto for creative excellence has waned as it presents 22 young designers and design studios who deliver “cutting edge aesthetic innovation”. Switzerland: Design For Life runs from 19th June – 1st July, showcasing the talented young Swiss designers in this feature, along with ‘Reinventing an Image’ – a mini-exhibition that will display 10 of Switzerland’s most influential and iconic vintage posters alongside 10 newly created works by some of the country’s leading design studios…..
