Rock It Suda, South Korea

wildly eccentric architecture for mountainside guest house...

Rock It Suda, South Korea

With themes such as Barbie, Ferrari and Spain – Rock It Suda is a series of fiercly unconventional guest houses, or pensions as they are so called in Jeongseon, South Korea, that sit peering over the edge of a mountainside, like some kind of style-conscious, giant robot army on the attack. Well, perhaps that description is a little over the top, but then so is this utterly unique complex – so very, very over the top. From the, seemingly warped, mind of Moon Hoon – we can’t confirm if this is his real name, we’d like to think it is – Rock It Suda is theme pension owned by the bass player of a band with the same name, who regularly play live at the venue, and comprises of 6 houses, or rooms, that are each themed, seemingly with no regard for reason or logic. It is of course that blatant disregard for convention that makes Hoon’s concept so elegantly eccentric and confirms Rock It Suda as the most utterly individual accommodation you may ever stay in…
