“Live Handmade” – that’s the motto of Brooklyn based craft retail website, Etsy, and that appears to be a mantra which they’re intent on following rather closely, especially given the unique design of their beautifully eclectic, recently opened 9,000 square foot headquarters – courtesy of New York’s Hangar Design Group. Following their slogan to the letter, their new space – having recently located to Brooklyn’s vibrant DUMBO neighbourhood (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass, for those who were wondering) – is packed with design curiosities from the thousands of Etsy Sellers who comprise their unique global community of handmade retailers. Accommodating over 75 employees, product design labs and numerous conference spaces, Etsy’s delightfully diverse, handmade environment is cool, current and so brilliantly appropriate – a truly unique work space…
