Sometimes, well – most the time actually, the simple things are the best, and that’s the case here, with this charmingly retro identity for, Vanilla, a tiny little East Berlin coffee shop. Designed by Ariel Aguilera and Andrea Benyi, aka Pandarosa – a duo whose work is exhibited around the world, appears on the walls of Copenhagen’s wonderfully arty Hotel Fox and has been commissioned by the likes of Volkswagen, Lee Jeans and Adidas – the branding and subsequent interior design is based around patterns evolved from the simple, elegant typography created for the logo. The soft pink and blue affords the interior a splendidly retro vibe that, along with some vintage feeling fixtures and fittings, gives the coffee shop are rather nice 50s milk bar feel that, for us at least, is particularly inviting and decidedly unpretentious…
