Projectory is a pop-up that redefines your perceptions, delivering only the very finest fusion of art and product design...

If you’re one of the world’s leading auction houses and art dealers, it’s fair to assume that when you enter the world of the ‘pop-up shop’, you’ll do it with considerably more panache than most – and, currently running at Charles Saatchi’s King’s Road gallery, Phillips de Pury & Company‘s ‘Projectory’ is just that, a pop-up that redefines your perceptions, delivering only the very finest fusion of art and product design. With many of the works on offer being one-offs, prototypes, or limited editions exclusive to Phillips de Pury & Company, Projectory blurs the line between a traditional selling exhibition and what we’ve come to expect from a pop-up shop – you could certainly waste a few hours simply marveling at the work on show without reaching into your pocket, which, we expect would need to be rather a deep one. The work itself also blurs boundaries – this time between what is art, what is product design and what is furniture. It’s just that lack of definition that makes the works on display, and the exhibition/pop-up shop itself, such an exciting proposition. Let’s hope this is a template for others to follow…
