You may recall us featuring Gavin Turk’s inspired Les Bikes de Bois Rond conceptual art project for this year’s Frieze Art Fair, an event cum installation that put visitors at the centre of an artwork – with Turk creating individual bicycles in homage to André Cadere’s famous Barres de Bois Rond – long poles of cylindrical, multi-coloured wooden blocks – that were available for visitors to ride around the inner circle of Regent’s Park. All of the bikes in question are now reproduced in this rather lovely postcard box set, by Polite – publishers of brilliant curated work from leading contemporary artists.
