Ahh, the ‘commemorative plate’ – the definition of utterly worthless tat, the deceleration that your taste and braincells are in equally low supply, the must-have icon for the über-kitsch brigade with their “it’s so naff, it’s cool” mantra. You can bet your life that you won’t be able to move for them come April – apparently Prince William is getting married, if you hadn’t heard – and so, it’s nice to see that those with an eye for design will have their own alternative.
