It was only last week that we brought you Hong Kong’s decadently stylish 208 Duecento Otto, courtesy of Turkish designers Autoban, and yet we’re already blowing the Istanbul firm’s trumpet once again – albeit with much justification. Back on home soil, the talented young studio have come up trumps with the interiors for The House Hotel Nişantaşı, the second hotel project from The House Café chain. Decadent is once more a word that springs to mind, Autoban’s trait of using rich, dark wood, elegantly-muted, earthy hues and their own custom pieces of furniture lend this chic property a wonderfully retro, yet decidedly luxurious appeal. Situated in the Nişantaşı district, famed for its exclusive shopping, restaurants and nightlife, the hotel is littered with the designer’s own products, many of which – including their iconic Nest armchair and beautifully simple Reedy bookcase – were presented at last year’s London Design Festival. Exquisitely refined and epitomising retro-chic, the latest House Hotel confirms the chain as one to watch…
