The Restaurant at the Royal Academy of Arts

Tom Dixon designed interiors for art institutions new restaurant...

Complimenting the grand, opulent 18th century style of the impressive Royal Academy of Arts, with marble, brass and velvet, interiors superstar Tom Dixon has also firmly applied his own unequivocal style. Run by acclaimed restaurateur Oliver Peyton, the new restaurant will showcase the talents of head chef Andrea Zuccolo, as he prepares modern French, Spanish and Italian cuisine within the confines of the lavish interiors, the opulence of which are defined by the Mount Etna lava stone and hand-made glazed brick bar and the dramatic, free-standing centrepiece, in which sculptures and busts dating back to 1897 are housed in glass cubes.

Designed under his Design Research Studio interior design arm, The Restaurant features some of Dixon’s iconic lighting and furniture, with 2 new pieces shown for the first time. Classic, refined and so fitting of its surroundings, The Restaurant at the Royal Academy of Arts is an exercise in elegance…
