Located in Edessa, Greece, this shop is part of a chain of family-run bakeries called Elektra. Edessa-based architects Studioprototype were given the opportunity to redefine the look of the Elektra bakeries with this pilot project, located on a small thirty-five square metre plot occupying a busy pedestrian corner. Working with a narrow linear floor plan, the design was based around a long marble food counter acting as the focal point.

A large shop-front window box allows light to flood the interior of the bakery, accentuating the food items on display, while also serving as a seating area for customers inside and outside the shop.
