Famed for their works that blur the lines between design and art, Dutch and Belgian based artists Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel – aka Studio Job – have just unveiled a rather special solo show at The Groninger Museum; a museum whose affection for the duo is clear to see. The pair were commissioned recently by the Groninger for a spectacular new reception – that we featured as part of their ‘revitalization’ earlier this year – and the Dutch institution already possesses the largest international collection of their products. The museum’s love affair with the design duo’s elaborate objects and collaborations with the likes of Royal Tichelaar Makkum, Moooi, Swarovski, Bisazza and Venini continues, and the general public can enjoy the fruits of this relationship until 4th March next year with this thoroughly expansive selection of Studio Job’s delightful work…
