Showcasing the works of emerging Korean fashion designers – some of whom have already worked with the likes of Vogue, Lady Gaga and Dazed and Confused – A New Space Around The Body explores their highly sculptural and innovative works. Having graduated from some of the world’s top fashion schools, Ara Jo, Juhee Han, Kathleen Kye, Minky Jaemin Ha, Minju Kim, Unbounded A WE by Laykuni, Yoolhee Ko and Yeashin Kim create unexpectedly dramatic, and undeniably beautiful pieces.

Coinciding with the forthcoming relaunch of their website www.cakeit.net, celebrated quarterly fashion mag, Let Them Eat Cake, are hosting a three-week exhibition at Shoreditch’s decidedly stylish XOYO. With its rebellious edge and enthusiasm for promoting the designers, photographers and stars of tomorrow, the widely-regarded fashion tome will be showcasing 10 of their most iconic covers; with tonight’s opening party set to be an unmissable soiree of style.

Debauchery, nudity, Victoriana and all manner of general decadence – The Last Tuesday Society are famed for putting on some of London’s most elegantly deprived parties. As we write this, tomorrow night’s masked Valentine’s ball (Harlem Jungle Jazz, instruments of torture and Russian platters of pelmeni, oysters and buckwheat kasha) is sold out, but get in early for their forthcoming animal parties… “dress like a beast, dance like a beast”.

Designs of the Year 2012

The 5th annual “Oscars of design” is underway, with the Design Museum’s annual exhibition of nominees for best design in architecture, digital, fashion, furniture, graphics, product and transport, showing until mid-July. From the Barber Osgerby designed Olympic torch to Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen’s dress for Kate Middleton – and over 80 more of the year’s best to boot – the prestige of being exhibited at the Designs of the Year show has quickly become one of the design world’s most significant decorations. The winners will be announced in April; until then you can cast your critical eye over the nominated designs at the Shad Thames located museum.

Yayoi Kusama at Tate Modern

Living voluntarily in a psychiatric institution since 1977, 82 year old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama is famed for creating installations that put the viewer in her position as a neurotic soul obsessed with repetition – her deeply immersive works are powerful and uncomfortable. The first exhibition of this size in the UK, Tate Modern’s retrospective of her works explores the paintings, installations, performances, sculptures and film that have led to Kusama becoming Japan’s most prominent contemporary artist.

Moving to the heart of ‘Madchester’ during the early days of Factory, Ian Tilton is a ‘been there, done it, bought the t-shirt’ kind of photographer; touring with Guns N’ Roses and capturing The Stone Roses and The Smiths in their pomp, he is famed for being in the right place at the right time. It’s that knack that saw him capture this Kurt Cobain shot that will be remembered for generations to come. As you’ll imagine, there’s more than a few stories of his times to share, hear him tell all tonight at monthly story-telling evening, Campfire.
