The psychedelic '70s meet Tumblr seapunk at hip Shoreditch space...

The multidisciplinary artist Chrissie Abbott has created several film work installations that occupy DreamBagsJaguarShoes, the tiny bar slash gallery on Kingsland Road. Projecting ‘interior landscapes’ using infinity mirrors, GIFs, and shots of nature – the films are psychedelic and dream like. Referencing space, the ocean, land and patternation; the late 70s soundtrack matched the installation wonderfully. The last time I heard Black Sabbath, Kyuss and May Blitz outside of my older brother’s house, I actually cannot remember – and the heavy synth and ‘stoner jams’ put together by Into the Void (musical duo Angry Aaron and Dead Mike) matched the lo-fi visuals exquisitely.

The installations run until 28th May and are definitely worth popping in for – AND if you want a cute kitty plate (which I actually do) – then, as part of the exhibition, JaguarShoes will be releasing a new limited edition 12″ plate to accompany the bestselling ‘Cat Pint Mug’.
