The Imperial Buildings, Auckland

a new slice of industrial hipness for New Zealand's largest city...

New Zealand, the land of the long white cloud. Boasting such internationally-famous bucolic beauty it’s easy to forget people live and work in the country’s cities, and now the millions who ply their trade in the Central Business District of Auckland have a new place to power lunch.

The Imperial Buildings have been torn from the dusty grip of industrial obscurity and transformed into a hive of industrial-cool hipness by architects Fearon Hay. Employing a lot of slopes, diagonal lines and vertical shafts, the centre is now home to five storeys of lifestyle loveliness for the city’s movers and shakers, as well as consumers.

For the hungry Horace there’s Everybody’s Bistro and Bar, thirsty visitors can quench their cocktail cravings at Imperial Lane café and wine bar, while those wishing to pull out all the stops for a potential new client may prefer the fine dining of Roxy. If you’re smart, you’ll be seen at The Imperial Buildings.
