Christmas Past; The Geffrye Museum

The Geffrye Museum have once again opened up their period rooms (which depict quintessential middle-class living rooms of yesteryear) for the festive exhibition; Christmas Past, 400 Years of Seasonal Traditions in English Homes. The eleven rooms have been decorated to portray a variety of scenes which hark back to – you’ve got it – old time Christmases, illustrating how the holiday has been celebrated in English middle-class homes from 1600 to the present day. An insightful and beautifully presented exhibition.
