Unseen Photo Fair in Amsterdam is returning for a second year following the success of the inaugural event last year, once again throwing the spotlight on emerging talents of the photography world, and a selection of longer-established artists who don’t get the exposure they deserve. Work has been submitted by 41 international galleries for the fair, running from 26th to 29th September in Westergasfabriek, with Christopher Bucklow’s Tetrarch 1.29pm, 14th October 2012 and Road to Nowhere by Richard Mosse among our preliminary favourites.
The fair is also a chance for new collectors or those on a modest budget to get themselves a piece, with a series of works made available for less than 1,000 euro. “Everyone can buy photography”, trills the publicity material. Yes, everybody with a spare month’s rent to spend on a photograph can buy one. Wow, accessible, thanks. Don’t worry though, you can look at our lovely images for as long as you want, for free, or buy tickets to attend the event in person.
