Indigo & Cloth

Creativity runs upstairs and down at Dublin's Temple Bar...

A case of four up, two down; Temple Bar’s Indigo & Cloth is certainly not a ‘one size fits all’ agency. Four floors of creative agency sit above a ground floor of dual purpose at this Dublin design hub, local chappies Designgoat having recently designed the boutique-cum-coffee bar that fronts on to Essex Street and the famous cobbled streets that lie on the River Liffey’s south bank. We’ve seen an agency hosted design shop and bed and breakfast, but this time it’s fashion and accessories that share space with creative minds, along with a coffee shop run by the city’s Clement and Pekoe.

Simple but effective is the name of the game design-wise, a solid ash counter taking centre stage and doubling up as both counter and coffee bar. Elsewhere, modular shelving and display units allow for plenty of customisation – frequent changes being one of the hallmarks of a creative agency (as is, of course, strong coffee). The likes of Our Legacy, Levi’s Made & Crafted and Norse Projects are served up downstairs, whilst the likes of Crafts Council and G Shock are given the creative overhaul upstairs; likeliness is, you’ll come out looking good whichever floor you visit.
