And here was us thinking axes were just for those who got their hands dirty for a living, or serial killers. Looks like we were wrong however, or at least that’s what designer and author Peter Buchanan-Smith, and outdoorsman and environmental entrepreneur Graeme Cameron of Best Made Co. tell us, but then they would, because it’s their wonderfully stylish (did we just say that about an axe?) axes that we’re talking about. All made to order, with hand painted, varnished and polished Tennessee Hickory handles, Best Made Co.’s tools mean serious business and if you’re tool collection is in need of a luxe upgrade then they’re certainly a good start.

Every now and again we come across an idea so simple, yet so blatantly obvious that we give ourselves a severe kick up the backside and curse over why we never thought of it, well the clever chaps over at Myhab have gone and given us that horrible feeling once again.

With the sun showing it’s face, the birds a’ singing and everyone getting excited about the Summer, and of course, the festival season, Myhab have delivered the camping solution every boutique hotel frequenting music fan has been crying out for, a little bit of luxury in that most inhabitable of Summer pastimes, the ubiquitous Summer festival!

For only £240 for a sleeping pod to fit 2 adults, Myhab will pop along to the festival you are attending and set up their special cardboard sleeping pod which comes complete with lockable box, soft bedding, a raised base, and even a bespoke character stuck on the outside. Whilst we may be a little upset that this is just another commercialisation of the traditional music festival, we’re kind of glad that we don’t have to worry about the tent we erected after a crate of ‘wife-beater’ caving in under the torrential downpour we’re bound to endure!

How many times have you been stranded on the floor of a grimey flat resembling some kind antiquated opium den with only a 20 year old sleeping bag, your Calvin’s and 20 pints to keep you warm?
