With an increasingly devoted following from the fashionistas in the know, New York based Emma Fletcher, her label Lyell – and her Nolita located boutique – have become somewhat of a hit, thanks in no small part to Fletcher’s lovingly fragile, vintage style. Following December’s hugely successful lingerie collection for the high street’s most fashion conscious brand, Sonia Rykiel will present her second “Sonia Rykiel pour H&M” line at selected stores from the 20th of this month. Delivering her iconic striped sweater, H&M continue in their ability to eek the best out of the über-name designers they bring in, resisting the easy option of diffusion for signature pieces that continue to create unprecedented demand. Accompanying the sweater in iconic vibrant stripes are dresses, scarves and even leggings for children, whilst blazers, skirts, dresses, accessories and even a jumpsuit complete the collection…. there’s even a “Sonia Rykiel pour H&M” bag, part of the proceeds from which will go directly to UNICEF’s “All for Children” project…..

Screen printed in strictly limited quantities, Les Queues de Sardines‘ cute graphic-print stockings and tights are at the forefront of a somewhat unlikely trend for 2010, the traditional printed tights taken to a new mischievous level. Playful and eye-catching, Les Queues de Sardines’ distinct designs are exclusively stocked at the rather unlikely venue of Fortnum & Mason in the UK, a whole host of designer outlets in France, including the ever-stylish Colette and a selection of international retailers.

It might not be quite the right time of year to be throwing out posts like this, but if you’re heading off for a bit of winter sun and feel you can pull off some wonderfully kitsch swimwear designs then you couldn’t do much better than these wonderfully borderline tacky prints from Sydney based artist Jeremy Somers and swimwear designer Indhra Chagoury. Being individually made from high grade Italian Lycra and printed with high density inks, We Are Handsome’s collection is suitably limited edition, meaning that if you’re bold enough to make the statement then you’ll no doubt be rewarded with exclusivity.
